Day 10 Saturday 28 April 2012 tasks involve setting up an Aweber autoresponder with a pop-up on your blog to start building an email list.
All I can say is WOW! Thanks John.
Real Progress!
The goodies John has provided meant that I managed to set everything up from scratch and tested it was working in under an hour – pop-up squeeze page + confirmation thank you page + autoresponder follow-up series of emails.
Previously I have spent days fiddling about putting together squeeze pages with offers to encourage visitors to opt in – with really amateurish graphics and copy compared to John’s.
John’s autoresponder service of choice is Aweber and today’s training involves setting up a list using his products for a squeeze pop-up and high value upsell.
You will also need an Aweber account to be able to use the follow up email series he has written.
John has made things very easy to get started by providing:
- 7 detailed step by step videos
- Professional graphics that he hosts for pop-up squeeze pages
- An offer report to encourage visitors to opt in
- 8 email follow up series for auto-responder
- A high value upsell to make $ as an affiliate
Today’s goodies alone are worth more than I paid for John’s One Month Mentor course!
Setting up sizes for the pop-up can take hours of trial and error tinkering – but John provides exact settings in his training videos making this a breeze.
My habit of downloading the videos paid off – because it enabled me to more easily pause and repeat steps in each video that I needed whilst actually setting everything up in Aweber
Summary of time spent for the day:

Day 9 Friday 27 April 2012 tasks complete the niche selection process and involved lots of research.
This has been the longest days work so far.
The objective is simple – research each of yesterday’s 20 chosen topics to pick one – but to do this properly takes a lot of time and effort.
John acknowledged niche selection is tough and encouraged us to raise a ticket with his support desk if we got stuck.
Summary of time spent for the day:
Searching for my niche
- 5 minutes creating MP3 audio files
- 12 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
- 60 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
- 240 minutes watching videos and doing the days work including blog posts
- 0 minutes sorting out technology problems
The busiest days work so far!
Summary of time spent on One Month Mentor to date:
- 80 minutes creating MP3 audio files
- 154 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
- 140 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
- 802 minutes watching video and doing the days work
- 195 minutes sorting out technology problems
Today’s work takes the total time invested to almost 23 hours – averaging two and a half hours a day.
If you download the video files each day then you’ve probably already discovered that the file “open_me_to_play_video.html” in folder titled “2_choose_your_niche” displays a web page with links but doesn’t play the video.
You can click the MP4 file “2_choose_your_niche.mp4” to play the video file or download an edited version of “open_me_to_play_video.html” that I have renamed “open_me_to_play_video_corrected.html” by right clicking here then saving the file.
You need to make sure this file is saved in the directory containing the MP4 video file.
If you simply click the link abouve or a copy not saved to the correct folder, it will not display correctly.

Day 8 Thursday 26 April 2012 tasks involve identifying possible niches that interest me, I enjoy doing and could make money from.
John has broken the niche selection process into eight steps – and each of these can take as much or little time as you care to invest.
Starting to get confused
This is the first set of tasks that have started to confuse me.
I thought I knew the niches I am interested in – but are they the wrong niches for me to make the $ I would like?
Or am I just not doing the things I should be doing in my chosen niches?
I decided that today’s tasks could have a considerable impact on my success – so in the end I spent a considerable time going through each of the eight steps to produce lists of 10 core topics that interest me plus another 10 money making topics.
Summary of time spent for the day:
- 5 minutes creating MP3 audio files
- 4 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
- 25 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
- 180 minutes watching videos and doing the days work including blog posts
- 0 minutes sorting out technology problems
