One Month Mentor day 16

Day 16 Friday 4 May 2012 simply carries on editing eBook

Today it’s just more of the same – carry on editing and writing eBook

taking the plunge

Still wondering when to take the plunge!

There’s not much I can do today becuase I still haven’t started writing or editing an eBook yet.

I’m really keen to learn John’s plan for monetizing the product and driving traffic before making the time and $ commitment to create my own eBook.

John suggested this could go on for another week – spending an hour or two each day.

Personally I like Jason Fladleins product creation idea of creating 1 product to provide 1 solution in one sitting of 2 hours.
And I’m realising the most important advantage Jason explained of no pressure.
If it sells great, if not it’s still as asset that can be used as a free offer or bonus.

It’s not that I doubt John’s plan can and does work for some people – but want to see more of his overall plan before deciding this will work for me.
At the moment I feel much more comfortable saving time and $ by substituting a product I have created in 2 hours and spent less than $20 on.
That way I could test out 10 niches and products in the time and cost of doing one.

For now I’ll keep going through John’s training each day and learning whatever he has to teach.

Summary of time spent for the day:

  • 2 minutes creating MP3 audio files
  • 3 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
  • 0 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 3 minutes watching videos and doing the days work including blog posts
  • 0 minutes sorting out technology problems

Summary of time spent on One Month Mentor to date:

  • 108 minutes creating MP3 audio files
  • 216 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
  • 287 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 1077 minutes watching video and doing the days work
  • 195 minutes sorting out technology problems

Now I’m probably around 21 hours behind and still need to spend about $178 to get up to date.

One Month Mentor day 15

Day 15 Thursday 3 May 2012 training demonstrates simple word processing skills leading on to editing a PLR document.

Nothing I can do until I have chosen my niche, product and PLR to edit.
For now I just watched the videos and listened to audio versions to find out what I need to do later.

  • 5 minutes creating MP3 audio files
  • 17 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
  • 5 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 17 minutes watching videos and doing the days work including blog posts

  • 287 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 1074 minutes watching video and doing the days work
  • 195 minutes sorting out technology problems

I’m probably about 19 hours behind and need to spend about $178 to get up to date with John’s training.

If I was up to date the training would have taken me about 50 hours averaging about three and a half hours each day.

One Month Mentor day 14

Day 14 Wednesday 2 May 2012 and we’re back to straight forward practical tasks that I find easy.

The first task was to download and install OpenOffice – nothing for me to do as I already use this to produce PDF’s versions

of documents I have created in word (2002 version that doesn’t have pdf feature)

Although the rest of the days tasks are easy I can’t do any of them until I have caught up on work I should have completed over the last few days:

Editing PLR to create my own product, choosing a product name, buying a relevant domain name and ordering graphics.

Summary of time spent for the day:

  • 10 minutes creating MP3 audio files
  • 14 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
  • 15 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 15 minutes watching videos and doing the days work including blog posts
  • 0 minutes sorting out technology problems

Summary of time spent on One Month Mentor to date:

  • 101 minutes creating MP3 audio files
  • 206 minutes listening to audio files while out walking
  • 270 minutes making notes of days activities (to help me rinse and repeat later)
  • 1057 minutes watching video and doing the days work
  • 195 minutes sorting out technology problems

I’m now falling even further behind – needing to spend maybe $27 to $97 plus time looking through all of the material.

My guess is that I’m now about 17 hours behind.
Plus I probably need to spend:

  • $27 on blog graphics
  • $54 on PLR (from 2 different sources)
  • $87 on product graphics
  • $10 on a product domain name

Total still to spend = $178.
No problem when I am more confident that I have chosen the right niche and product to get started with – but too much to waste.
